Goosepond Mountain State Park, located at 1198 New York 17M, Chester, NY 10918 in Orange County, is managed as 1,558-acres of open space. Almost completely wooded, the park is open to hikers and horseback riders. This park is undeveloped. There are no toilets and there is limited parking.

Goosepond Mountain Park is a mixture of woods, fields, and wetlands. It is a haven for many native species, including many songbirds. The park was acquired with funds from the New York Bond Acts of 1960 and 1962, and remains true to its original purpose as recreation lands.
